Eli | 7 days | Montreal Newborn Photographer
/These folks are technically my first clients in Montreal, at least the first to book. I met Leann through YES Montreal, where she works and where I go to get advice on all things business and art related.
I can't even be sure to express the sense of calm and feeling that I would be ok, which came over me when I first met Leann. I met her before her maternity session, because we had been talking for months before I moved. When I arrived in Montreal she took me out to lunch and we got to know each other. That first day, meeting her and then meeting my coaches at YES Montreal made me feel so welcome in Montreal, and made me feel like this dream of a photography business could actually come true.
Then I got to see her again for her maternity session and meet her handsome hubby Mark. What a great pair those two are! Very laid back and easy-going, and totally my kind of people. For their maternity session Leann was always reminding me that her and Mark were very awkward in front of the camera, which was SO not true!! Her maternity images LITTERED my Facebook page because they were so beautiful!!
And then little Eli came. Three weeks early and on Christmas Eve, and he was the tiniest baby I ever worked with. Only 5 pounds 3 ounces. And he was SUCH a little gentleman! And the sweetest moment is when I had him lying in the bucket with the fur and the British flag behind him, I was hoping for a smile, waiting for one, and then Leann pipes up and says, "Smile Eli!" and he DID! Not only that he smiled three more times at the sound of his mama's voice. Ok so you might say babies at 7 days old only smile when they have gas, but I think that he really just likes his mama, and that is the version of the story I prefer most!
It was SUCH an honour to meet this beautiful family, the first people to take a chance on me, so brand new to Montreal. And I am so happy that I was able to capture this beautiful moment in their lives.
Eli is also my first Mini Milestone client! I get to see him at 6 months and again for a cake smash (that dad is SUPER excited about) at 12 months!
The Mini Milestones session is a new addition, you receive two sessions one at 6 months one at 12 months, you receive the same print product as the regular Milestones Session, but this time the cost is $695.
