Think about how much of your memory is shaped by photographs. If you were to close your eyes right now and think of a photograph it is probably one that you have looked at so many times in your life it can live in your mind. I think of the people in the photographs that shaped my memories, and how much they have grown, some of them have moved away, some of them are no longer with us. I am eternally grateful that some of these photographs are from moments when I was too young to remember. This is the power of photography, and the power of the gift you could be giving.
