Sebastien came along and cemented that incredible love. It became so obvious that the love they had for each other still remained, it just grew to include their little love in this beautiful little boy.

At first she wasn’t sure if she wanted to go ahead with the newborn session, but when I told her about The Full Story maternity & newborn package she was so amazed at how much she would receive that she decided to take a chance.

As someone who is not a mom, people have wondered why in all heck do I think that the most important sessions I do every year are my Mama Love sessions. Well I can say one thing that helps me to understand the importance of these photos is that I am a woman. And as a woman I completely understand why almost every woman I come in contact with, whether she is in her 20s, 50s or in between, is weary or downright shaking in her boots before stepping in front of the camera.

Rose is 7 years old, but has the mental capacity of an 8 month old. Her illness is extremely rare, and unfortunately, because of this there is no prognosis. Basically, her family do not know what lies ahead for them in regards to Rose's health. This does mean that they live each day for the moments, and you can see how much hope and fight they have put in, and continue to put in!

I love being able to capture the important moments in your child's life, and Baptism is a big big moment. I was so so honored to capture Ayden's Baptism. His mom and dad said his next big day like this one would be his wedding. How amazing is it that I got to capture such an important day for him!

I really love capturing those in between moments, moments that my mamas from past sessions gasp when they see, moments that make them tear up, and moments that make them throw their heads back and laugh.

At my second workshop of this year we were TWICE lucky with these two sweet little ones, a boy and a girl! Each of their families were sweet enough to let me show a room full of AMAZINGLY talented newborn photographers how to safely pose and work through a session with a newborn baby.

I am lucky to say I have photographed this sweet blue-eyed beauty for her newborn session, and 4th and 7th month sessions and she is growing more and more beautiful with every stage - which I thought was honestly impossible!

I obviously LOVE my job. But nothing makes me love it more then when I am working with other photographers. The sense of camaraderie, the understanding of the special place we work from, the support, and most of all, all that heart in one room for the one baby we are working with.

It is rare that you come across a couple that when you meet them, it is like you are instantly great friends. That is how I felt when I met Victoria's mom and dad. And Victoria was beyond sweet and patient with me for her newborn session.

This little guy was so chubby, and warm and he just slept the WHOLE time!

This is the authenticity I have been craving in my family photos. Something I have only been able to achieve outdoors. 

Of the four sessions I do in the first year, my absolute favourite session is the 6 month session. Baby is more smiley, they can generally sit on their own (although they may need a little bit of help), and they DROOOL. I don't know, but all those things combined adds up to an extremely adorable session!

Our images end up on your walls, and you walk by them day by day and it brings a smile to your face. That is an incredible gift. And I work every day to get better and better at what I do so that I can keep giving this incredible gift.
