I truly LOVE doing maternity sessions, for one, it introduces me to the expectant parents of the bundle of joy that I will be photographing, while at the same time, letting them know a little about who I am and how I work.

But the BEST part of it is just being able to focus on this moment in their lives.

Now I have never been pregnant.

But I have had many encounters with pregnant women, due to my line of business haha, and I can say with absolute confidence, that at times, pregnancy is NOT the beautiful experience it tends to be presented as. I mean anyone who has watched the movie What to Expect When You're Expecting gets even a LITTLE insight on how uncomfortable and foreign your body can feel as you grow a tiny human in it.

But the truth of the matter is, no matter how uncomfortable, no matter how foreign, this moment, where you are bringing a child to life, is probably one of the most fascinating things a person can do, and there is truly nothing more beautiful.

When you think about it, everything that your child could be, its personality, its talents, its potential, lives there in your womb.

So no matter how un-pretty your pregnancy can feel or be at times, it is one of the most beautiful and important things you can do with your life.

And it is through that lens that I capture your pregnancy.

So that you may look back at it, with your beautiful child and remember that time, when you felt their kicks, their movements, and dreamt of their face.

This is why I love doing maternity sessions.
