So I am a shy person.

Working as a photographer and running this business has caused me to confront that many, many times. Back west I was lucky to have a network of word of mouth clients, I never had to market myself. Which is good, because being shy and having to market yourself is not the easiest combination...

And then, one weekend, I was out grocery shopping and I happened across this gorgeous pregnant woman and her two adorable little kids.

So I did something I have never done.

I gave her my business card.

SO GLAD I DID!

I haven't heard from her personally (yet... hopefully, just sayin' her kids were CUTE), BUT because she showed that business card to her friend Lesley I got the absolute pleasure of meeting Lesley and her BEAUTIFUL family!

Her oldest daughter is full of spunk and personality and seriously one of the cutest lil 3 year olds I ever did see!! She had so much fun, and because of that so did I! We played games, and goofed around, but when we got down to taking photos she was working that cute like nobody's business! Seriously... she is a natural!

Lesley's youngest at two months was so calm and happy, she had no problem with hanging out with me and smiling for my camera. And I finally got some of the baby snuggles I have been missing. Makes my love my job more and more every time.

Lesley absolutely glows when surrounded by her family, so it was such a pleasure to capture them all and their personality, and her husband Gavin is such a patient dad. He didn't mind getting in there and playing around, and he was so patient with all the set-ups and outfit changes. (We have some Christmas themed photos too but they are under wraps to be opened on Christmas Day).

Still the look of pure love on their faces as they look at their girls is why I do this job.

Getting to know these folks was one of my favourite experiences in Montreal, this city I now live in. My new home. It made me feel so honoured to have captured these fleeting moments for this family and their little girls that are growing too fast for Mom and Dad.

And it was a total blast!
