The Essentials Session is not a downgrade, rather it is a little glimpse into what a full session is like with us.
This covers both the family portraits—including parents and siblings—as well as a portrait set up of baby on their own.

full access to wardrobe and props
family portraits with all combinations of your family
and one beautiful set up with your newborn, with multiple stages to ensure we capture every angle of their cute little newness!

This type of session focuses on providing your family with a glimpse into our full session experience, rather than providing you with a limited product.
With the Essentials Session, the photos are more lifestyle focused to better capture the love you all share on a daily basis.
There are fewer images, but if you’re looking for a few special shots, this session has got you covered!

FAQ
What's the difference between an "Essentials" and Regular Newborn Sessions?
The “Essentials” session is quicker (up to two hours) while the Regular session is longer (up to four hours). Also, the “Essentials” focuses on the family photos with one beautiful setup of baby on their own, whereas the Regular Session focuses more on baby with multiple unique setups.
Finally the Essentials Session yields fewer digital images in your gallery to choose from (approx 30-50 images) whereas the Regular Newborn Session has more (approx 70-90 images).
What should I wear?
I have dresses for mama to wear, but if you would rather wear your own clothes I always suggest staying away from dark colors, so wear neutral or earthtone colors.
Keep it casual, so jeans for Dads, logo free t-shirts and try not to match too much. Honestly, be yourselves! Think about making the photos feel timeless, so 20 years later when you look at them, you're brought back to the memory and less distracted by the outfit you're wearing (haha!)
What should I bring?
You don't have to bring anything for baby, other than a pacifier if you use it, diapers and wipes, and whatever your baby will need to eat. We provide all the props and accessories for baby to wear. The studio will be warm, so we always suggest that you bring water and snacks, especially if mom is breastfeeding. But really, we got pretty much everything you need :)
When should I book?
As soon as possible! We are only opening a limited amount of spots to not interfere with our clients who have already booked. If you're wondering about when to book a regular newborn session, please do so at least a month or two before baby is born (just so you don't lose track of time when baby comes and miss the opportunity to have your newborn captured all fresh and new).
How do I choose photos?
We will meet online in a Zoom viewing appointment where I will share my screen with you. I have many tips and tricks to help you narrow down your images to your favorite ones.
When do I choose my packages?
You choose your package after the session is complete during your zoom viewing appointment. We want you to see your photos first before you make the decision on which package works best for you.
